The one thing that people do is to communicate.  All the time, we’re interacting with other people, talking, listening, asking questions, learning, teaching, explaining.  We make complaints, sing people’s praises, help one another.  We communicate at work, at home, when we’re shopping, at parties, in the pub, out walking, in restaurants….

Effective communication is probably THE key skill that determines our success.  It’s what allows human beings to work together effectively, to create amazing things, to build towns and cities, to produce plays and movies, to generate business, to create jobs . . .

Article:  A Celebration of Life

Here are many things that we celebrate throughout our lives, major landmarks that we look forward to with great expectation, some of it of course is nervous eagerness, but the anticipation is there nonetheless.

There are but a few examples of events I have anticipated throughout my life, but there are two experiences which have drastically marked my footprint on this earth.

Little did I know when I agreed with my spouse to uproot from South Africa and move back to England, what would happen to me and my body over the next 3 years.
